Terms & Conditions (NVTSI)

Effective Date: December 23, 2025

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the VeteranMatch platform, website, dashboards, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are owned and operated by National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. (NVTSI.org) (“NVTSI,” “VeteranMatch,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). “You” or “User” means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Services.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1Purpose of the Services

VeteranMatch is an integrated workforce transition and talent-matching platform designed to support:

  • Veterans
  • Active-Duty Service Members
  • National Guard and Reserve Members
  • Military Spouses
  • Employers
  • Career Coaches
  • Community and Training Partners

The Services use predictive analytics, AI-assisted matching, and career readiness tools to help military-connected individuals translate their experience into civilian career pathways, identify skill gaps, pursue upskilling or SkillBridge opportunities, generate optimized resumes, and connect with right-fit employers.

For employers and partners, the Services provide structured access to military-connected talent, explainable match insights, and workflows that reduce time to hire, minimize turnover, improve workforce readiness, and close long-standing gaps between military experience and civilian employment.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3Accounts and Security

Some features require an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Maintain confidentiality of login credentials
  • Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Stolen Valor and Misrepresentation of Military Service (Prohibited)

VeteranMatch exists to support the military-connected community. Falsely claiming military service, misrepresenting military rank, command, deployments, military occupational specialty, awards, security clearance, or any veteran-related credential is strictly prohibited.

You agree that you will not:

  • Claim you are a Veteran, Service Member, Guard/Reserve member, or military spouse if you are not
  • Submit false military documentation or inaccurate service history
  • Misrepresent discharge status, clearance level, or training qualifications
  • Impersonate a service member or veteran in any way

VeteranMatch may require verification of service status at any time and may use reasonable methods to validate eligibility and prevent fraud. Any suspected stolen valor activity may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, removal from the Services, and may be referred to appropriate authorities or organizations when warranted.

5Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, harassing, discriminatory, or fraudulent purposes
  • Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or infringing content
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, probe, or attempt unauthorized access
  • Introduce malware or disrupt platform availability
  • Misrepresent your identity, military service, credentials, qualifications, or job postings
  • Use the Services to make employment decisions that violate applicable law
  • Use the Services to violate the privacy rights of others or attempt to obtain sensitive personal data unlawfully

NVTSI may suspend or terminate access for violations or suspected misuse.

6AI Tools, Matching Outputs, and No Professional Advice

The Services may provide AI-generated outputs, including match scores, military-to-civilian role translation, skill gap analysis, upskilling recommendations, resume drafts, and insights.

You acknowledge that:

  • Outputs are informational and may not be complete or error-free
  • You are responsible for validating outputs before reliance
  • The Services do not provide legal, medical, mental health, financial, or other licensed professional advice
  • Employers remain solely responsible for lawful hiring decisions and compliance with employment laws

7User Content and License to Operate the Services

“User Content” includes all information you submit (e.g., profile data, service history, preferences, assessments, resumes, job postings, interview notes).

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant NVTSI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, analyze, reproduce, display, and use such content solely to operate, maintain, improve, and deliver the Services.

You represent that you have the rights to submit the User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

8Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. We may process personal data to provide matching, resume generation, SkillBridge matching, dashboards, reporting, and related workflows. Aggregated or de-identified data may be used to improve the Services.

9Employer Obligations

Employers agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable employment, labor, privacy, and anti-discrimination laws
  • Use candidate information only for legitimate recruiting purposes
  • Ensure job postings are accurate and lawful
  • Respect confidentiality and data security obligations

10Partners, Referrals, and Revenue Share

Partners may invite Veterans, Service Members, and Employers through partner-tracked invitations. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Partners do not pay NVTSI to participate
  • Eligible Partners may receive referral-based revenue share for qualifying Employer subscriptions
  • Eligibility, verification, and payment terms are governed by the applicable Partner Agreement

11Subscriptions, Fees, and Billing (If Applicable)

If you purchase a paid plan:

  • Fees and features are disclosed at purchase
  • Charges are authorized through our payment processor
  • Fees are generally non-refundable unless required by law or stated otherwise
  • Pricing changes apply at renewal with notice

12Intellectual Property

All platform software, content, trademarks, and designs (excluding User Content) are owned by NVTSI or its licensors and protected by law.

13Third-Party Services

The Services may link to third-party platforms (e.g., video tools, job boards, SkillBridge listings). NVTSI is not responsible for third-party content or services.

14Availability and Changes

NVTSI may modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Services at any time without guarantee of uninterrupted access.

15Termination

You may discontinue use at any time. NVTSI may suspend or terminate access for violations or risk to the platform. Certain provisions survive termination.

16. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” NVTSI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

17. Limitation of Liability

NVTSI’s total liability will not exceed the greater of:

  • Amounts paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
  • $100

18Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NVTSI from claims arising from your use of the Services, User Content, or violation of these Terms.

19Binding Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), on an individual basis only. Class actions are waived. An opt-out is available within 30 days of acceptance.

20Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

21Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
